Project wrap-up
What happens after your site goes live
Your website is live — thank you for trusting me with the build. This page gathers everything from our handover call in one place, plus a few practical tips so you can manage the site with confidence.
Your main point of contact
Charlotte Hart — [email protected]
Email is used for all project-related communication. This keeps everything organised and easy to find.
1. A quick favour (only if you’re happy)
If you’re happy with the site and our work together, a short Google review really helps other businesses find Charlotte Hart Web Design. It only takes a minute.

2. Updating images on your site
Before uploading images to the website, optimise them first. Large files slow pages down.
Recommended tools:
Quick habit: resize to the size you actually need on the page, then compress, then upload.
3. SEO — free tools & professional help
If you’d like to improve SEO over time, these free tools are a useful starting point:
For ongoing SEO strategy, please see my recommendations here
4. Your 30-day warranty
For 30 days after launch, I provide a safety net for bugs or technical issues tied to the build (not new features or design changes).
If something doesn’t work as it should, email [email protected] with:
- the page URL
- what you expected vs what happened
- a screenshot if possible
Office hours: Tuesday–Thursday, 09:30–14:30 (UK time).
Replies outside those hours may take a little longer.
5. Ongoing support & maintenance
After the warranty, support depends on whether you’re on a Hosting & Maintenance plan.
| If you… | Then… |
|---|---|
| Are on a plan | Use email for requests. See Service Definitions for response times, backups, and what’s included. |
| Are not on a plan | Ad-hoc help can be quoted separately. New features or redesigns are scoped as new work. |
| Want peace of mind | See Web Hosting & Maintenance |
Full agreement: Website Hosting & Maintenance Agreement
6. Handy links
- Welcome Pack — process, FAQ, domains, hosting, ownership
- Service Definitions — support hours, backups, priorities (maintenance clients)

FAQ
Use the login URL and details from your email you received from the website regarding your new website login account. The login address will be your website followed by /wp-admin. If you’re stuck, email me and I’ll help.
Usually no — editing text and swapping images and anything else in the areas we covered is safe.
Keep copies of important logos, brand files, original photos, and key PDFs on your computer or cloud storage. If you’re on a Web Hosting & Maintenance plan, this includes website backups; you’re still wise to keep your own copies of essential assets.
You do — once the project is complete and final payment is settled, the site is yours. See the Welcome Pack FAQ for more detail.
Support: something that worked at launch and has stopped (forms, layout on a page we built, broken link).
New work: extra pages, new sections, rebranding, new functionality — quoted separately.
Email [email protected]. Include the page link and a short description. I’ll acknowledge and prioritise during office hours.
